Tasalla Tabasom is a London-based Iranian interdisciplinary artist. Their practice is a diasporically processed body centred inquiry into ideologies of liberation and belonging.

Their work takes shape in a ritualised relation to material and memory through dissecting, reworking and layering of fragments, tracing boundaries and making maps of time and space, choreography, text, image making and video archives. They draw from collective struggles and grief in the paradigms of migration and gender across cultural and personal forms of remembrance to unmask and metabolise illusions, contradictions and binaries. They are interested in the live and performative formation of the disordered, marginal, invisible parallels and in-betweens of identity rooted in histories of regulation and control.
